Golf: Minnewaska girls lead Section 3AA meet (2024)

The Minnewaska girls golf team is leading the Section 3AA meet by 59 strokes after posting a round of 333 on Wednesday, May 22 at the Oakdale Golf Club in Buffalo Lake.

Minnewaska has a 59-stroke lead over Redwood Valley and has three golfers in the top five.

Ava Kollman is in third with a round of 79, while Arivia and Annika DeBoer are behind her in fourth (82) and fifth (84), respectively.

Minnewaska’s Kyra Nelson is in seventh (88), Anna Kollman is 17th (96), and Lillie Ogdahl is tied for 34th (106).

Redwood Valley’s Mila Jenniges and Kimball’s Avery Maus are tied for first (78).

On May 23, the Minnewaska boys competed in round one of the Section 3AA meet and is in third place with a total of 318, while Marshall is in first (296) and New London-Spicer is second (311).

Morris Area-Chokio-Alberta’s Charlie Hanson is in first with a round of 67.

Minnewaska’s Zach Gugisberg is tied for fifth (75), Thatcher Sherlin is in ninth place (76), and Tyler Moscho is tied for 24th (82). Kash Christman is tied for 39th (85), Blake Nelson is tied for 60th (91), and Chase Wacker is tied for 72nd (97).

The final round of the Section 3AA boys and girls meet is on Wednesday, May 29, at 9 a.m. at Oakdale Golf Club.
